Early College and Young Scholars Programs at Crestwood

What are the Early College and Young Scholars Programs?

Young Scholars students attend Kings College, Wilkes University, or LCCC. Eligibility to participate in this program is based upon the student’s class rank and attendance history. Once accepted into the Young Scholars program, students typically complete classes in English and/or the Social Sciences.  These courses fulfill their senior English and/or history requirement at CSD.

Early College students attend Luzerne County Community College and is a program designed to allow students an opportunity to gain college credits at LCCC while attending Crestwood High School. Students can begin taking classes as early as their junior year if they meet the requirements established by LCCC and Crestwood.
